Often those physicians tried to convey between mainstream medicine and unorthodox medicine. Recognition and rejection of unorthodox medicine was not dependent on the medicinal efficacy! Many people of the mainstream medicine were opposing the unorthodox medicine probably due to social conflicts (Faltin p. 206).
